Social Media

I love using social media to talk about science and show a behind-the-scenes view of my life as a PhD student. Here’s where you can find me:

I also have archived Instagram stories from fieldwork in Mexico and Belize.

In May 2018, I did an Instagram “takeover” on the American Geophysical Union (AGU) account – you can see a few of my posts here and here. I was a guest Instagrammer again during the 2018 Fall Meeting, where I profiled attendees and shared scenes from around the conference. I also hosted a short, live-streamed tour of the exhibit hall.

I am a co-host of Fresh Pressed Science, a virtual journal club where we discuss scientific research that is different from our research fields. Our first episode was about pain sensations, fMRI scans, and neuroscience.  You can view the episodes on the Nexus YouTube channel.
